Accessibility Statement
Last updated
Digital Done wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. This statement explains how accessible it is, what we have tested, what we have not yet tested, and how to tell us if something gets in your way.

1 Standard we aim to meet
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. This is the standard referenced by UK accessibility regulations and is the level most commonly required by organisations we work with.
-
2 How accessible this website is
We believe this website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, meaning it meets the standard with the exceptions listed below. In practice that means you should be able to navigate the whole site with a keyboard alone, reach the main content of any page using the skip link, enlarge text up to 200 per cent without content being lost or cut off, and use the site with your operating system set to reduce motion.
-
3 What we have built in
The following are deliberate choices in how this site is built, not incidental features.
- A skip link on every page that moves keyboard focus directly to the main content.
- Visible focus outlines on every link, button and form field, including on dark backgrounds.
- One clear page heading per page, with headings nested in order so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
- Text that meets the required contrast against its background, with the brightest green reserved for large headings where a lower ratio is permitted.
- A pause control on the scrolling list of services, so the movement can be stopped by anyone, not only by people whose device is set to reduce motion.
- Form fields with permanent visible labels, required fields marked in words rather than by colour or an asterisk alone, and errors listed at the top of the form as links to the field that needs attention.
- A mobile menu that can be closed with the Escape key, keeps keyboard focus inside itself while open, and returns focus to the button that opened it.
- Page changes announced to screen readers, with focus moved into the new page rather than left behind on the link you followed.
-
4 Known limitations
We are honest about what has not been verified. The following are not yet complete, and none of them is a reason to wait before telling us about a problem.
- This site has not yet been tested with real screen reader software. Our checks so far have been made against the code and by keyboard, which finds many issues but not all of them.
- It has not yet been tested by disabled users, or with voice control, screen magnification or a switch device.
- Automated testing has not yet been run against the published pages, only against the build.
- Photography on the site is placeholder imagery. Descriptions will be reviewed when the final images are supplied.

5 Feedback and reporting a barrier
If you find something on this website you cannot use, please tell us. Email [email protected] or call 01332 805527, and describe the page and what happened. We will reply and tell you what we intend to do about it. If you need information from this site in a different format, ask us and we will provide it.

6 Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in relation to website accessibility. If you are unhappy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, which handles enquiries on the Commission’s behalf.

7 How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on 2 September 2026. It is based on a review of the site’s code against WCAG 2.1 level AA, covering document structure, headings, landmarks, keyboard operation, focus handling, form labelling and error recovery, colour contrast ratios, text enlargement, and motion. The review was carried out by Digital Done rather than by an independent third party. We will update this statement as the outstanding testing above is completed.
