An app earns its place when something needs to happen repeatedly, on the move, or offline. Customer accounts, bookings, field work, stock checks and job sheets are the cases where a phone in a pocket beats a laptop and a spreadsheet.
The same applies internally. If your team is retyping the same information into two systems, or working from paper that gets rekeyed later, a properly built internal tool removes an entire category of daily admin and the errors that come with it.
Left alone, the workaround becomes the process. Businesses end up running on group chats, shared spreadsheets and one person who knows how it all fits together, which holds up fine until that person goes on holiday.
Build the wrong thing, though, and it is worse. An app nobody opens still needs maintaining, still needs updating for each new operating system release, and still carries whatever customer data it collected. That is why we would rather work out first whether you need one at all.
